Donnis Yates is the artist behind the upcoming TNBM Tarot deck — a hand-painted watercolor tarot created one card at a time, designed to bring warmth, depth, and real artistry to every reading.
Originally from Grand Lake, Colorado, Donnis grew up surrounded by the Rockies and the wide-open landscapes of the American Southwest. Those mountains, skies, and seasons shaped the way she sees color, light, and movement — and they show up in every brushstroke.
Now based in Tooele, Utah, Donnis is an active member of her community. When she is not painting, she works with local seniors on craft-based community development — creating spaces where creativity and connection go hand in hand.
For The New Beautiful Me, Donnis is creating an original 78-card tarot deck entirely in watercolor. Each card is a piece of original art — no AI generation, no stock imagery. One card per week, until the full deck is complete.
